WHEAT RIDGE, Colo.—A Democratic congressman is headed to a jobs session with people out of work.

Rep. Ed Perlmutter planned to attend a jobs seminar Friday afternoon in Wheat Ridge. Unemployed people at the seminar will discuss writing resumes and interviewing for jobs.

Perlmutter’s staff said the congressman would greet about 70 people coming to the seminar and talk to them about the overall employment picture. Colorado’s unemployment rate in June was 8 percent.

Perlmutter faces Republican Ryan Frazier of Aurora in the November election.
