CENTENNIAL, Colo.—The third and final person to be tried in the slaying of a murder witness and his fiancee in Aurora has been sentenced to 70 years in prison.
Parish Ramon Carter was convicted of conspiracy to commit murder and witness intimidation in June, five years after Javad Marshall-Fields and Vivian Wolfe were killed.
He was sentenced in Arapahoe County district court on Thursday. He had faced up to 92 years in prison.
Two other men have been sentenced to death in the killings.
Prosecutors say Marshall-Fields was gunned down to stop him from testifying against Carter’s stepbrother.
