A climber who fell to his death from Long’s Peak has been identified as Benjamin R. Hebb, 26, of Broomfield, according to the Boulder County Coroner’s Office.
Hebb fell from a ledge on the mountain Friday morning. Rocky Mountain National Park officials say rangers on a climbing patrol witnessed the fall about 8 a.m.
Hebb fell about 800 feet down the North Chimney Route of the 14,259-foot mountain.
An autopsy will be conducted.
