A tree trimmer killed Wednesday when a cherry picker boom snapped has been identified as Adam Mackintosh, 34, who left behind a wife and three young children.
Mackintosh, of Denver, was killed in Littleton when the arm on the articulated boom he was working in snapped. He fell about 30 feet.
The incident happened about noon in the 5200 block of South Sherman Street, said Littleton Fire Bureau Chief Jay Ruoff.
A relative said Saturday that the Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the incident. Mackintosh operated his own company, Adams Tree Service.
Mackintosh is survived by his wife, Melanie; son Adison, 2; and twin daughters Claire and Sophia, 1.
A fund has been set up to benefit the children: The Adam Mackintosh Fund at Citywide Banks. Donations can be made at any Citywide Bank location.
Services will be Tuesday at noon; a rosary is this Monday at 7 p.m. Both will be at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary in Wheat Ridge. The Denver Post
