Getting your player ready...

How would you like to wake up to Big Head Todd & the Monsters?

That could happen with NASA. The Colorado band wrote the song “Blue Sky” as a tribute to the space-shuttle program at the request of a Discovery crew. The tune went on to become Hillary Rodham Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign song after she dumped the Celine Dion ditty “You and I.”

Now it’s in the running to be one of two wakeup tunes for the shuttle mission launching Nov. 1.

No nodding off when Big Head Todd is playing.

You have to vote at . “Blue Sky” is currently third — but it’s facing tough competition from U2, Rush and Steppenwolf.

Press pass.

We get press releases at The Denver Post — more than you could ever imagine. Press releases with info on who wore what at the Emmys, incredible inventions, comedians coming to town, society balls, restaurant openings. Some are so ludicrous and silly that they are sent on to colleagues.

Companies pay good money for this service. Lotsa good money. So here’s a deal. ProConnect PR will mark its fifth anniversary Oct. 1 by writing press releases for nonprofits for $5 each. For an additional $5, they will e-mail the release to their roster of important contacts.

This is a deal!

“I’ll start at midnight and keep going until 11:59 p.m. the next day,” says boss Steve Caulk, who figures it takes about 2 1/2 hours to crank out a good press release. (Now that cat’s out of the bag.)

“I’m going to have three people helping me, and we’ll do the best we can on a first- come, first-served basis,” says Caulk. Call him at 303-410-4971, or e-mail him at srcaulk@proconnectpr.com.

Jesse and me and the baby.

Jesse Csincsak, the Breckenridge ‘boarder who won the heart of DeAnna Pappas on “The Bachelorette,” tied the knot last week — but not to Pappas. He married Ann Lueders, a former “Bachelor” contestant who is four months pregnant. Lots of “Bachelor” alumni were in attendance. People mag called it “a veritable who’s who of the ‘Bachelor-Bachelorette’ franchise.”
