A woman was killed about 4 p.m. Friday near Georgetown Lake when the Jeep she was in fell about 1,200 feet, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

The woman was driving on a rocky dirt Forest Service road that goes up a mountain near the lake when her vehicle fell off the road. The woman was ejected as the vehicle rolled numerous times down the mountain.

A man who was with the woman, but not in the Jeep at the time, was injured when he tried to climb down the mountain to assist her.
