Will Smith’s daughter Willow, 9, is not about to let her brother Jaden be the only kid star in the family. (Jaden is currently is enjoying success with his latest film, “Karate Kid.” He also co-starred with his dad in “The Pursuit of Happyness.”)

Willow just got signed to a record deal with Jay-Z.

The 9-year-old, whose first single “Whip My Hair” is a huge hit on the Internet, has signed a record deal with Jay-Z’s record company, according to the celebrity website Janetcharltonshollywood.

“I heard the record first before I knew that it was recorded by a 9-year-old and I was like, ‘man that record’s a smash’,” Jay told Ryan Seacrest.

About concerns that Willow is too young for stardom, he says, “When you have that sort of talent, there is no such thing as too young,” he said.

Jay-Z, of course, also launched the career of super-songstress Rihanna.

Spencer Pratt was arrested this weekend in Costa Rica.

The former MTV reality star was arrested in Costa Rica Saturday for illegal possession of a firearm on his way back to the U.S., according to TMZ. The website reports Pratt, 27, was booked at a local jail and then released.

“Costa Rican jail smells like children’s tears. And soup. Delicious soup,” Pratt Twittered after news broke Saturday afternoon. “If I knew the gov’t was Team Jacob, I would’ve kept my mouth shut.”

The reality star — who spent time in the Central American country with his ex, Heidi Montag, in 2009 as part of NBC’s I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here — offered a bizarre statement to TMZ with additional details surrounding his arrest.

“As part of my spiritual cleansing I’ve spent the last week living alone in the jungle, reflecting on my past transgressions, and working to become a better person. I had to live off the land, and hunt to survive,” Pratt is quoted as saying.

“As I departed the country this morning to continue my spiritual journey, I mistakenly brought my hunting weapons to the airport. It was an honest mistake, and they sent me on my way,” he adds. “On an unrelated note, I’m not allowed in the country anymore — but that’s because of the chicken incident.”

Pratt’s arrest comes on the heels of a public apology made to wife Heidi, who recently filed for divorce after a year of marriage.

In an email to the Associated Press, Pratt says his behavior in the wake of their alleged breakup — including his threat to release a sex tape — was “outrageous and infantile.”

From K-Fed to K-Fat and back again.

Britney Spears‘ ex-husband has lost 25 pounds in his quest to get his dancer body back, People reports.

Kevin Federline is “working on getting back into top shape,” his rep Marilyn Lopez said.

He had previously blamed the weight gain on depression, following his divorce from Spears, with whom he has two young sons.

Federline, who once topped the scales at 240 pounds, is looking forward to working again.

“He can’t wait to start acting and dancing again and going on auditions next year,” Lopez said.

But he’s not losing weight to get women. His relationship is going strong with former college volleyball star Victoria Prince.

“Kevin and Victoria are really doing great,” said one of Federline’s friends, who added that he and former flame Spears are working together to raise their children.

“Although he and Britney don’t talk much, they are co-parenting as best they can working together to make the best decisions for their boys,” the friend added.

Months after their sunset ceremony on the beach in Hawaii, Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green are still reveling in married bliss.

“Getting married was the best thing I’ve ever done,” Fox said at the Toronto International Film Festival premiere of Passion Play on Friday. “I married my best friend. I’m so lucky to get to be with him every day, and he’s my protector. I feel so safe and happy and completed.”

For his part, Green, 37, says that waiting to marry Fox, 24, was worth it.

“(Marriage is) the one thing that I was really specific in waiting for until I was with somebody that I knew that I would be right with and she’s the one,” he told People. “She makes me happy and a better person. She’s everything.”

After dating on-and-off for years, why did they decide to tie the knot in June?

“We’ve been together for six years and it was just time,” says Green, who will be guest starring on Desperate Housewives this fall. “We were like, ‘Let’s just make it official.’ “
