A man and woman found fatally shot in a Thornton apartment have been identified.
Autopsies performed by the Adams County Coroner’s Office indicate that the pair died in a murder-suicide.
The bodies were discovered about 11:30 p.m. Monday at the Hawthorne Apartments, 11801 York St., police said.
Keri Gillen, 39, of Thornton, died of a single gunshot wound to the head, the coroner’s office said in a media release. The autopsy reveals that her wound was inflicted by another.
The body of Matthew Crayne, 31, of Northglenn, was found inside the same apartment. He died of a single, self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, the coroner’s office found.
