Daniel Shaw, who is alleged to have worn a flat brim on his cap, is facing a steep charge of armed bank robbery.

Federal authorities said the 20-year-old from Centennial is the so-called Flatbill Bandit who robbed a Chase Bank branch in Broomfield on Tuesday afternoon. The FBI said earlier that the Flatbill Bandit also is suspected of robbing two banks Monday: a Wells Fargo in Littleton and a Chase Bank in Fort Collins.

Crime Stoppers offered a $2,000 reward and released a clear surveillance photo of the robber to the media a few hours after the robbery Tuesday. A tip to Wheat Ridge police led authorities to a home in Arapahoe County, where Shaw was arrested Wednesday morning. The Denver Post
