Getting your player ready...

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. — Deep breath, Jets fans. Darrelle Revis said he’ll be just fine.

The star cornerback was limited in practice Thursday with tightness in his left hamstring, but he fully expects to play Sunday against the Patriots.

“It’s just a tightness,” Revis said. “It’s not anything that serious to where I will not be playing on Sunday.”

Coach Rex Ryan opened his daily news conference with the injury report, saying linebacker Calvin Pace is out with a broken foot, and then cleared his throat.

“This next one’s got me a little choked up,” he quipped.

Ryan later said he wasn’t “overly concerned” about the hamstring, and wanted to “err on the side of caution.”

Jackson can play if traded

SAN DIEGO — Chargers holdout wide receiver Vincent Jackson can play in Week 5 if he’s traded by Wednesday, the NFL and the players union decided.

The agreement essentially rolls what could have been a six-game suspension into four games. Jackson currently is serving a three-game NFL suspension for violating the league’s substance-abuse policy. He pleaded guilty in February to his second DUI since 2006.

If Jackson isn’t traded by the deadline, he’ll have to serve the remainder of his three-game DUI suspension and serve the three-game suspension on the roster exempt list if he does sign, regardless of a subsequent trade.

The Vikings reportedly are interested in Jackson.

Harvin questionable

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin’s status for Sunday’s game against Miami is uncertain after he missed practice with a hip problem. The team did not disclose details of the injury.

Cornerbacks Cedric Griffin and Chris Cook are closer to returning. They missed the opener at New Orleans with knee injuries. Defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier said Griffin and Cook will have a chance to play against Miami if they look sharp in today’s practice.

Doucet out with hernia

TEMPE, Ariz. — Arizona receiver Early Doucet will undergo surgery to repair a sports hernia and is expected to be out three to six weeks.

Undrafted rookie Stephen Williams moves up to Doucet’s spot as No. 3 receiver behind Larry Fitzgerald and Steve Breaston.

Meanwhile, running back Beanie Wells said he will “definitely” practice today after testing his bruised right knee in a limited workout.

Bush not feeling guilty

METAIRIE, La. — Reggie Bush said his decision to relinquish his Heisman Trophy should not be seen as an admission that he and his family improperly accepted cash and gifts from sports agents while he played for Southern Cal.

“It’s definitely not an admission of guilt. It’s me showing respect to the Heisman Trophy itself and to the people who came before me and the people coming after,” Bush said. “I just felt like it was the best thing to do, the most respectful thing to do.”

Footnotes.

Cowboys fullback Deon Anderson will be out two to four weeks after left knee surgery, while linebacker DeMarcus Ware returned to practice on a limited basis as he recovers from a slight concussion.

• The Jaguars signed tight end Ernest Wilford to a one- year deal and waived first- year receiver John Matthews.

• Redskins lineman Albert Haynesworth has a sprained ankle and was unable to make it through a full practice.

• The NFL is looking into whether Tampa Bay cornerback Aqib Talib violated a one-game suspension by attending the Buccaneers’ season opener.
