CBS hit series “Undercover Boss” enters its second season with a laundry list of execs, including Bryan Bedford, board chairman, president and chief executive of Republic Airways, parent company of Frontier Airlines.
The show featuring Bedford is already in the can, reports Frontier spokeswoman Lindsey Purves. “We don’t know when it will run, but it won’t be the season premiere (at 9 p.m. Sept. 26 on CBS 4).”
Frontier has its hub in Denver.
“Bryan saw this as a great opportunity for him to do something that most CEOs don’t get the opportunity to do, which is really go undercover in the operation,” Purves said. “With everything that the company has been through in the last three years with bankruptcy, being purchased by Republic and now integrating with Midwest Airlines, Bryan thought it was extremely important for him to experience what life is like for our front-line employees, and learn first-hand what can be done to improve things for our customers and our guests.”
Bedford joins this season’s executives from the Chicago Cubs, Lucky Strike Lanes, NASCAR, Chiquita Brands International, DirecTV and Great Wolf Resorts in rolling up their sleeves and doing the dirty work.
