FORT COLLINS — Colorado State University police have issued an arrest warrant for an Aurora man following a shooting in a residence-hall parking lot Sept. 8.

Police say Shameek Jamal Bernard Lewis, 20 is suspected of shooting 21-year-old Johnnie Bradley Fresquez of Broomfield after they met for a late-night drug transaction in the Summit Hall parking lot.

Neither man is a CSU student or employee.

Fresquez was grazed in the arm by a bullet.

The Coloradoan reports Lewis could face charges including attempted first-degree murder and attempted aggravated robbery.

His whereabouts were unknown Sunday morning.

CSU officials have announced plans to add lights and security to the parking lot.
