A man suspected of shooting his brother-in-law on Wednesday in Aurora, shot himself Friday as police and SWAT teams found him in a hotel room in Blackhawk.
Isaac Martinez, 31, is now in the hospital in critical condition.
Martinez is suspected of wounding his brother-in-law, Andre Lopez-Baker,28, in the 1150 block of South Fairplay Circle in Aurora, according to a press release from Aurora police.
Lopez-Baker also is in the hospital in critical condition.
During the investigation, police found that Martinez was also suspected of three other Aurora incidents in the recent weeks, including an armed bank robbery and a felony menacing at a restaurant.
Martinez also had an active warrant for his arrest from a home invasion robbery that occurred on Sept. 9 in Aurora.
Blackhawk and Gilpin County SWAT responded to the hotel when investigators found out that Martinez was staying there, but as they entered the hotel room, Martinez shot himself.
Anyone with information about any of the incidents is asked to call Detective Hershel Stowell at 303-739-6079.
