CINCINNATI — Landry Jones ran an Oklahoma offense moving so fast that Cincinnati couldn’t even line up at times, throwing for 370 yards and two touchdowns, and the eighth-ranked Sooners withstood a late Bearcats rally Saturday for a 31-29 win that kept them unbeaten.

Oklahoma (4-0) did a little of everything behind its sophomore quarterback, who completed a career-high 36 passes in 51 attempts with one interception. Ryan Broyles had his seventh straight 100-yard receiving game, looking good on the NFL field where favorite Bengals receiver Chad Ochocinco — who wears the same No. 85 — struts his stuff.

Jones’ only interception helped Cincinnati (1-3) make a late charge. Zach Collaros followed with a 36-yard touchdown pass to D.J. Woods that cut it to 24-22 with 9:45 left.

Woods then fumbled a punt at Cincinnati’s 7, setting up Jones’ clinching touchdown pass.

Woods also fumbled at the 5-yard line at the end of a long run-and-catch in the first half, part of a self-destructive showing by the two-time defending Big East champions. Cincinnati is off to its worst start in four years.

Collaros led a touchdown drive in the closing minutes against a defense willing to trade yards for time, throwing his third touchdown pass with 58 seconds left. Broyles recovered the onside kick to seal it. Collaros finished 23-of-38 for 305 yards.

No. 6 Nebraska 17, S. Dakota St. 3

LINCOLN, Neb. — Rex Burkhead and Kyler Reed scored on consecutive series in the first half as the Cornhuskers (4-0) are off to their best start since 2005.

Redshirt freshman Taylor Martinez, coming off three straight 100-yard rushing games, fumbled his first snap, threw two interceptions, was wildly off the mark with other passes and was flagged for taunting. He finished with 75 yards on 13 carries but was just 6-of-14 passing for 140 yards.

Nebraska got a huge performance from linebacker Lavonte David, who was credited with 19 tackles and two pass breakups.

Kansas St. 17, C. Florida 13

MANHATTAN, Kan. — Carson Coffman’s 7-yard touchdown run with 24 seconds left has the Wildcats 4-0 for the first time since 2003.

Nick Cattoi’s 27-yard field goal gave the Knights a 13-10 lead with 5:14 left and the Wildcats took over on their own 33. Coffman, on third-and-10, connected with Andre McDonald for 18 yards to keep the drive going. Daniel Thomas, held in check almost the entire day, picked up 12 yards to the 22. Then on second-and-goal, Coffman kept the ball and darted through a big hole.

Missouri 51, Miami (Ohio) 13

COLUMBIA, Mo. — Carl Gettis returned a fumble 19 yards to score on the first play of the game and was among seven Missouri players scoring a touchdown.

Missouri (4-0) scored on runs of 39 yards by Kendial Lawrence and 28 yards by Henry Josey while going ahead 21-0 in the first quarter. Blaine Gabbert threw a touchdown pass and scored on a 1-yard sneak for the Tigers.

Iowa State 27, Northern Iowa 0

AMES, Iowa — Jeremy Reeves returned an interception 94 yards for a touchdown and A.J. Klein returned a pick for another score a few minutes late and Northern Iowa was done in by three interceptions, two fumbles and a blocked field-goal attempt.

Baylor 30, Rice 13

HOUSTON — Robert Griffin passed for 268 yards and three touchdowns and the Bears outgained Rice (1-3) 456 to 296.

Baylor (3-1) led 7-3 early in the second quarter when the game was suspended for about an hour because of lightning in the area.

Kansas 42, N.M. State 16

LAWRENCE, Kan. — D.J. Beshears scored three touchdowns, including a 96-yard kickoff return, in the first half.
