AIR FORCE ACADEMY — Air Force and Notre Dame are close on securing a two-game series, one that would begin next year in South Bend, Ind., with the other game in 2013 at the Academy.

Air Force’s senior associate athletic director Jim Trego said today that “we are going to get the deal done.”

There are also discussions to get two more games scheduled beyond 2013. Those would have the schools playing another game in South Bend and the other at a neutral site, perhaps Invesco Field. Trego said their top neutral site would be in Denver, but those discussions are still ongoing.
