CENTENNIAL — A judge will decide whether Arapahoe County will be forced to allow voters to drop off mail-in ballots at all of its polling places.
The Colorado attorney general’s office and Arapahoe County officials pleaded their cases in District Court on Thursday. Legislation passed in 2009 requires that counties provide a way for people to drop off mail-in ballots at all polling places. But Arapahoe officials say that is an unfunded mandate and cost-prohibitive.
