PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE,—The North American Aerospace Defense Command will conduct training flights in the Washington, D.C., area early Wednesday.

NORAD says aircraft will practice interception and identification procedures between 3:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m.

Civil Air Patrol aircraft, Air Force F-16s and a Coast Guard HH-65 Dolphin helicopter will participate.

NORAD, based at Peterson Air Force Base, is a joint U.S.-Canadian command that patrols the skies over North America.
