FORT COLLINS, Colo.—Firefighters say they have contained a small grass fire west of Fort Collins that forced some residents to briefly leave their homes.
Larimer County Sheriff spokeswoman Kathy Messick says firefighters are mopping up the blaze Sunday morning and residents have returned to their homes. Fire officials there is no threat to any structures.
The fire was reported just before 4:30 a.m. Sunday and it is unknown how it began. The fire burned about 5 acres.
