An early morning accident in western Nebraska killed two Denver residents today.
Maggie Eyten, a spokeswoman for the Nebraska State Patrol, said there were four adults and four children ranging from age 2 to age 11 riding in a Ford F-150 pickup truck.
The truck lost control and rolled over on Nebraska Highway 61 in Keith County at about 1:10 a.m.
All eight people in the vehicle were ejected. None were wearing a seat belt.
One of the people who was killed in the accident is Megan Spotted Tail, 28, of Denver. She was reportedly riding in the bed of the truck.
The name of the second person who was killed has not been released pending notification to the family.
All other six occupants remain in the hospital. Eyten said two who were flown to the hospital may be in serious conditions.
The driver was identified as Shantoya Yankton, 20, from Denver.
The cause of the accident has not been determined.
