ORLANDO, Fla.—The Powerball jackpot is expected to grow to an estimated $59 million after no one matched all six of the numbers in the midweek drawing.
The winning numbers Wednesday were 7, 17, 20, 39 and 59. The Powerball was 17 and the Power Play was 3.
Players matching all five numbers and the Powerball would have won or shared the $46 million jackpot.
A Power Play ticket sold in New York matched the first five numbers only to win $1 million.
Colorado’s top prize was $30,000 for a Power Play ticket that matched four numbers plus the Powerball. There was no immediate word on where that ticket was purchased.
Powerball was created in 1992 and launched in Colorado in 2001.
It’s now played in 42 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
