LEXINGTON, Neb.—A 26-year-old Nebraska jail inmate who escaped while at a hospital and was later apprehended in Colorado has been given one-to-three years for attempted burglary in 2005.
Jacob Wolsleben, of Lexington, had pleaded no contest to the Lincoln County charge but never appeared for sentencing. According to North Platte television station KNOP, Judge Donald Rowlands said Wolsleben’s sentence would run at the same time as his sentence for the Dawson County escape.
The 26-year-old was given 6-to-18 months after pleading guilty.
Court documents say Wolsleben ran from the Lexington hospital on July 24 after he was taken there for an exam. He was captured five days later in eastern Colorado.
Wolsleben was being held on several charges, including burglary.
