AskMen announced the results of its annual reader survey: the Top 49 Most Influential Men of 2010, with Jon Stewart from “The Daily Show” claiming the No. 1 position after over half a million votes were cast. Now in its fifth year, the Top 49 Most Influential Men asks AskMen’s 16 million monthly readers to determine which male figures have made the biggest impact in 2010.

The 2010 list of influencers honors men who have broken convention across the worlds of business, politics, technology, media, entertainment and lifestyle.

“It seems that this year in particular, our readers have chosen unlikely influencers; guys who don’t always play by the rules, and in many cases, created their own norms in opposition to the current times,” comments James Bassil, Editor-in-Chief of AskMen. “Jon Stewart earned his title by speaking frankly, and in the process, successfully engaging millions of ordinary citizens in politics. This year’s top 5 – Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Steve Jobs, and Kanye West are more than that – all found success in their fields by taking unconventional paths by breaking the rules of their industries.”

Los Angeles prosecutors have declined to file a felony drug charge against T.I. stemming from his arrest last month on the Sunset Strip.

According to a charge evaluation worksheet released Monday, deputies found four ecstasy pills on the 30-year-old rapper from Atlanta.

T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris Jr., was on supervised release after serving 10 months in prison for federal weapons charges when he was arrested Sept. 1. A Georgia judge earlier this month sentenced him to another 11 months in prison for breaking his federal parole with the latest arrest.

As a condition of his release earlier this year, Harris was ordered not to commit another federal, state or local crime while on supervised release, or to illegally possess a controlled substance. He was also told to take at least three drug tests after his release and to participate in a drug and alcohol treatment program.

The deputy district attorney in LA who rejected the case cited the sentence and the small amount of drugs found as reasons drug charges aren’t being pursued.

“The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office’s decision to reject TI’s case was the right thing to do under the circumstances,” Harris’ attorney, Steve Sadow, wrote in an e-mail. He commended the office for “exercising its discretion to reject prosecution in light of the legal and factual issues involved.”

Carey Mulligan and Shia LaBeouf have called it quits, People reports.

The “Transformers” star and the “Never Let Me Go” actress, who were first linked in August 2009 after being spotted kissing at a New York restaurant, called it quits “some time ago,” according to sources.

Since the split, Mulligan has been in Los Angeles shooting the indie film Drive, opposite Ryan Gosling. She checked in to the Best Western Hollywood Hills Hotel for a few days while the film shot nearby.

“I don’t know why people are so down on the Best Western,” Mulligan joked to People at Monday’s Hollywood Film Awards in L.A., where she presented her “Never Let Me Go” co-star Andrew Garfield with an award. “They have the best sweet potato fries I’ve ever had.”

The hotel is known for its 101 Coffee Shop, which was featured in 1996’s Swingers and is a popular late night diner for young Hollywood.

Actor Val Kilmer has dropped the asking price of his Pecos River Ranch by $10 million.

The 5,328-acre ranch includes a 10-bedroom, 10-bathroom, 11,573-square-foot house. Located about 22 miles southeast of Santa Fe, it went on the market in early 2009 for $33 million, but a Craigslist ad last week lowered the price to $23 million.

Neither Darlene Streit of Santa Fe Realty Partners, who posted the new ad, nor ranch manger Pam Sawyer responded to messages from The Santa Fe New Mexican asking about the price cut.

Real estate agents say the market for high-end ranches, like other housing, remains soft.

The advertisement describes the ranch as having two miles of direct frontage on the Pecos River and phenomenal fishing.
