Working on mountain bike skills inside the Denver area got a little easier over the weekend with the opening of the Golden Bike Park.
Located at the northern end of Tony Grampsas Sports Memorial Complex (just east of North Table Mountain), the new bike park was a project led by volunteers with the help of the city of Golden and the Colorado Mountain Bike Association.
The bike park is the state’s first community- built urban mountain bike park. The park includes a skills area, but also a trail with features designed to provide a “near country” experience.
