An Elegant Affair

Sunday: The Ritz-Carlton in Denver hosts “A Moment of Bridal Brilliance,” offering brides-to-be and their families and friends a variety of workshops and information from Colorado wedding vendors including the bridal boutique Anna Be, a floral session with The Perfect Petal, a culinary demonstration by hotel chefs and jewelry with Tiffany & Co. Saturday: “Hope Is Always in Fashion” is the theme for this benefit showcasing current fashion trends modeled by customers of all ages and sizes, guest speakers, a silent auction and music. Plato’s buys and sells brand name gently used clothing geared to ages 12 to 24. The Art Institute of Colorado

Deadline Nov. 19: “Passion for Fashion” competition is open to high-school seniors scheduled to graduate in 2011. The competition includes two categories: Fashion Design and Fashion Retail Management. Winners earn a full-tuition scholarship and a trip to New York for Fashion Week 2011. Visit . “Mr. Blackwell: A Retrospective”

Through April 1: Exhibit of 32 of Richard Blackwell’s gowns.
