A Thornton man faces multiple felony charges following a head-on crash that killed a woman and her baby.
Steven Christopher Ryan, 23, allegedly passed vehicles in a no-passing zone, causing a head-on crash with a car driven by Tanya Guevara, 23.
Guevara had two children in the car, according to the Weld County District Attorney’s Office.
The mother died at the scene, and one child, 1-month-old, died at Children’s Hospital in Aurora. A 3-year- old survived the crash.
The crash happened about 1:40 p.m. Monday near the intersection of Colorado 52 and Weld County Road 21, west of Fort Lupton.
