Lucero makes the kind of bare-bones alt-country that bar-stool dwellers long to find hidden in the depths of the jukebox. You may have caught them warming the stage for Social Distortion at the Fillmore last month, or turning a quiet Wednesday at the Aggie in Fort Collins into an unexpectedly hungover Thursday. This Memphis collective has seen and done it all, despite limited success with mainstream audiences. But that, much like the band’s tendency to down full bottles of Jameson on stage, is all part of the story. Sunday at the Bluebird Theater. Tickets, $25, are available through Ticketmaster.

Dave Matthews needs no introduction or sales pitch for a stop in Colorado. Whether selling out Red Rocks or headlining the Mile High Music Festival twice in three years, “Dave” is as familiar a face as Big Head Todd, Isaac Slade or Jeff Austin around these parts. On Thursday he’ll play stripped down versions of DMB classics with help from long-term acoustic partner Tim Reynolds. The duo secured their place in the canon of dorm room makeout sessions with 1999’s “Live at Luther College” double-disc collection and have toured occasionally ever since. Thursday at the 1stBank Center. Tickets are sold out.
