CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — The launch of a new private spacecraft has been delayed.
Space Explorations Technologies Corp. had been aiming for a test flight today from Cape Canaveral. But the company, known as SpaceX, said Monday that engineers are evaluating a possible crack in the upper-stage rocket nozzle. The launch is off until at least Thursday.
It will be the first launch under a NASA program to get supplies to the international space station via private companies once the shuttles stop flying next year.
