In his “other life,” spoken-word artist Stephen Malloy Brackett is Brer Rabbit in the popular musical group the Flobots. But a few nights ago, Brackett and a host of his poet friends were part of “Would You Harbor Me? Voices From the Broken Path,” a fundraising concert that The Spirituals Project presented in cooperation with . Denver’s first lady, Helen Thorpe, hosted the VIP reception held immediately before the musical selections began in the University of Denver’s Newman Center. See additional pictures by visiting .
