DENVER—A man struck by a light-rail train in Denver has died.
Regional Transportation District spokeswoman Daria Serna says the man was hit early Tuesday afternoon. She tells The Denver Post that all the light-rail lines that run through the station southwest of downtown are affected.
Passengers are being shuttled around the area.
RTD spokesman Scott Reed says it looks like someone was trespassing in the area, which is fenced off. Reed says the train operator saw the person, but couldn’t stop in time.
Police and the coroner are investigating the accident.
