A pregnant pedestrian in her mid-20s was hit by a dark sport-utility vehicle and could lose the baby, Denver police said.
The accident happened just after 5 p.m. today at East 29th Avenue and Central Park Boulevard. The driver drove away without stopping.
Detective John White said the woman sustained serious injuries and it appeared this evening as though the unborn child would not survive.
Police are asking anyone with information to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
