A motorist who drove nearly 6 miles in the wrong direction on Interstate 25 before smashing into another car and killing a passenger in July pleaded guilty Tuesday in Adams County to all charges against her.

During a 15-minute hearing, Elizabeth “Betsy” Jane Long pleaded guilty to driving under the influence, four counts of vehicular assault, one count of leaving the scene of an accident and two counts of vehicular homicide in the crash that killed Mary Elizabeth Warren.

Long’s blood-alcohol content was three times the legal limit July 5. She hit a station wagon driven by Jonathan Swanson, 32, of Loveland. Warren, 22, was a passenger in Swanson’s vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
