Longmont-based ABSL Space Products, a provider of lithium-ion batteries for spaceflight applications, has been selected by Lockheed Martin Space Systems Co. to design, fabricate, test and deliver a test battery and quad-module lithium-ion battery for the GeoEye-2 spacecraft over a 20-month contract period.
The batteries will provide critical power solutions to the GeoEye-2 satellite during all phases of mission operation.
