A former Michigan congressional candidate announced Friday he plans to run for chairman of the Colorado Republican Party next year.
Bart Baron said in his news release that he moved to Colorado in 2008 to be closer to family. Some relatives can trace their roots in Colorado to the early 1880s, the release said.
He said his goal is to help build the state party into a national model.
The current state GOP chairman, Dick Wadhams, said he still hasn’t decided whether to seek a third two-year term in office.
