AURORA, Colo.—Police in the Denver suburb of Aurora say a man was struck and injured by a hit-and-run vehicle, and that a patrol car responding to the incident collided with an SUV.
Police say 39-year-old Keino Taylor was helping a friend whose SUV had broken down on Thursday when he was hit by another vehicle, which drove away. Investigators say Taylor told them the hit-and-run vehicle appeared to be a small car, but he could give them few details.
Investigators say the officer and the driver whose vehicles collided in the second incident suffered minor injuries.
Police say the patrol car’s lights and siren were on when the SUV turned left in front of it. No citations have been issued but the investigation is continuing.
