Blood and pancakes. Both served hot. That was the menu for messy, black-and bruising, kissy-kissy New Year’s Eve rock-out at the where, yes — pancakes were fried up on the stage and handed out. Not for eating, but for throwing.

The Pinchers are Denver’s legendary local rap-infused satire punk band from the late ’80s. The Dec. 31 slopathon (featuring D.C. Creepy-O, Dale Crover, on drums), capped off a year that saw the band’s first reunion shows in 20 years.

The evening began with a set by , during which guitarist Holland Evan Rock-Garden played through a bloody (and getting bloodier) cut hand.

The night included audio/video mashups by Bobby C Sound TV, and a special DJ set by 3KSK as MegaJive.
