Vail Resorts reported increased traffic and revenue for the first part of the 2010-11 ski season compared with the same period last year.
Despite blizzards in the East that hindered travel and very cold holiday temperatures in Colorado, the Broomfield- based resort operator saw season-to-date spikes over last year in skier visits as well as lift-ticket, dining, retail and ski-school revenue at its six mountain resorts, including Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Keystone in Colorado.
