A $1,000 reward is being offered by the Colorado Division of Wildlife for information leading to the identification of the poacher or poachers who killed two bull elk in Packer Gulch, 5 miles west of Tarryall Reservoir in Park County.

According to the DOW, hunters found the two four-point elk lying alongside Forest Service Road 144 on Dec. 30. Investigators said it appears someone shot the elk in the early morning.
