A toddler who allegedly died at the hands of his mother’s boyfriend was identified Tuesday as 2-year-old Caden Rogers.
An autopsy revealed he died of severe injuries to his brain and cranial nerves, according to the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.
His mother’s boyfriend, Theodore I. Madrid, is facing a host of charges in connection with the child’s death.
They include first-degree murder where the child is under 12 and the suspect was in a position of trust.
Madrid, 30, also is charged with child abuse causing death. He is being held without bail at the Arapahoe County Jail.
Caden was gravely injured Thursday and died the next day.
