BOULDER — Academy Award-winning film director Oliver Stone will be the guest of honor at this year’s Boulder International Film Festival.
Stone will receive a “Master of Cinema Award” on the festival’s closing night, Feb. 20, at the Boulder Theater, according to BIFF’s website.
The evening will include a retrospective of Stone’s work, followed by a question-and-answer session with him, BIFF said.
Last year, the festival honored Alec Baldwin on closing night, and in 2009, Chevy Chase was the featured guest. Stone’s films have been nominated for 31 Academy Awards, and he has won three Oscars: for “Midnight Express,” “Platoon” and “Born on the Fourth of July.” Daily Camera
