Getting your player ready...

Having the right clothing and shoes can help make starting an exercise program a little easier. But what will work both at the gym and after when you run errands? What fabrics will perform best for your intended activities, whether it’s yoga or a high-intensity run? These are among the topics to be addressed at 1 p.m. Saturday when Nordstrom Cherry Creek hosts a Fitness Fashion event in its second floor activewear department. Image consultant Rachel LeFort will present activewear looks for different figure types and needs, while personal trainer and gym owner Lisa Scott of Sheer Force will talk about the demands of various sports and exercises, and what fabrics and designs are suited to them. Nordstrom Cherry Creek, 2810 E. First Ave.; 720-746-2424. Shown above: Nike running jacket with double zipper, mesh back, hood and media pockets, in water-resistant polyester/nylon, $100. Tech Capri Tights polyester/spandex, $55.
