Anybody can make an outfit from fabric. But paper? Nothing but paper? That’s been the challenge the past six years for those who enter the Paper Fashion Show, sponsored by the Art Directors Club of Denver. The Group is now seeking entries into its 2011 show, which will be held at 6 p.m. March 24 at City Hall Amphitheatre.

• Designers, art directors, marketing, advertising and communication professionals and fashion enthusiasts are among those who typically enter; registration is due Feb. 18. The cost to enter is $50 per team or $30 for student teams; visit . Tickets to the runway show can also be purchased at the website.

• Lonnie Hanzon, “wizard in residence” at the Museum of Outdoor Arts, was the first-place winner last year (his look shown at top; second-place winner was CSK, above). Hanzon calls the competition the “art Olympics.”

• Proceeds from ticket sales support the Downtown Aurora Visual Arts, a local community organization that provides after-school programs for at-risk youth.

• Xpedx provides the paper for artists. ADCD is seeking additional sponsors for the event. Contact Delana Reilly at paperfashion@adcd.com. Suzanne S. Brown
