
GREELEY — Elliott Lloyd scored 11 points and Northern Colorado dealt Idaho State its 19th consecutive road loss, winning 57-37 on Thursday night.
Devon Beitzel added 10 points for Northern Colorado (9-7) as the Bears got off to their first 5-0 start in the Big Sky in their five years in the conference.
Kenny McGowen had 12 points for Idaho State (5-11, 1-3). Leading scorer Broderick Gilchrest went scoreless and was held out of the second half with a sprained right ankle.
The Bengals haven’t won on the road since Nov. 28, 2009, and are 0-9 on the road this season.
The Bears used runs of 11-0 and 13-4 to take a 34-17 lead into halftime and went ahead 40-19 after baskets by Neal Kingman and Lloyd early in the second half.

MINNEAPOLIS — Blake Hoffarber went 10-for-15 for 26 points and Al Nolen added 13 points, eight assists and three steals as the Gophers (13-4, 2-3 Big Ten) ended the Boilermakers’ 10-game winning streak.
E’Twaun Moore’s layup with 9:21 left gave the Boilermakers (15-2, 4-1) a 61-57 lead, but that was their last basket of the game and a 13-for-13 mark from the free-throw line and 38-28 rebounding advantage weren’t enough.

STANFORD, Calif. — Josh Owens scored the go-ahead basket on a left-handed tip-in with 29 seconds left and the Cardinal (10-5, 3-1 Pac-10) remained unbeaten in Maples Pavilion this season.
Scott Suggs missed a baseline 3-pointer moments later for Washington after he knocked down a tying 3 with 1:08 left.
Stanford’s Jeremy Green was whistled for a foul against Justin Holiday on the rebound, but Holiday missed both free throws with 2.5 seconds on the clock.
The Huskies (12-4, 4-1) tied up Dwight Powell on the rebound, giving them the ball back for one final try. Holiday missed a long jumper from the right wing as the buzzer sounded.

CORVALLIS, Ore. — The Bruins (10-6, 2-2 Pac-10) blew a 17-point second-half lead to beat the Beavers (7-9, 2-3), whose only lead came when Roberto Nelson hit a 3-pointer with 2:44 to play for a 57-55 edge.

EAST LANSING, Mich. — The Hawkeyes (14-4, 2-3 Big Ten) scored eight straight points to tie the game at 60 on a 3-pointer by Kamille Wahlin with 13.3 seconds to play, but Kalisha Keane’s 3-pointer from the corner with 0.5 seconds remaining sent the Spartans (16-1, 4-0) off to the program’s best start.
