Police are investigating the death of a 67-year- old Brighton man after a neighbor discovered the man’s body Wednesday morning and called 911.
Officers arrived at the victim’s home at 9 a.m., said Brighton police spokesman John Bradley. He said a coroner’s examination Thursday led police to launch a homicide investigation.
The Colorado Bureau of Investigation is assisting Brighton police on the case. Bradley said police do not believe the murder was a random act.
This case marks the first homicide reported in Brighton since November 2008, Bradley said. Kyle Glazier, The Denver Post
