The final countdown is on for next week’s Denver Big Air ski and snowboard competition at Civic Center Park, and tickets are still available. Kicking off the SnowSports Industries America (SIA) Snow Show convention downtown, next Tuesday’s skiing competition gets underway at 5 p.m. on the snow- covered, custom-built ramp. The second day will feature the FIS World Cup Snowboard Big Air contest on the ramp, a World Cup-sanctioned event that makes Denver the first U.S. city to host the competition. Ticket prices range from $45 per event (standing general admission) or $80 for both nights, to $100 per night for VIP status that includes food, beverages and premium viewing. Paid attendees get preferred viewing inside the competition area, though limited no-charge, semi-obstructed viewing outside of the paid viewing area will be available in designated areas on a first- come basis each day of the event.
