A Weld County Court judge has ordered a Greeley-Evans School District 6 Board of Education member to stay at least 100 yards away from his business competitor’s home, business and body because of threats he made of a “shootout.”

Judge Charles Unfug on Friday made permanent a restraining order that bars Brett Reese from having contact with KFKA-AM 1310 radio general manager Justin Sasso. The order also permanently revokes Reese’s concealed-weapon permit.

Reese has been at the center of controversy in the past month over his radio broadcasts denouncing the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., a clash with fellow school board members over his intention to bring his gun to board meetings and the dispute with Sasso. The Greeley Tribune
