WHEAT RIDGE — Housekeeping staff at a Wheat Ridge hotel discovered the remains of a possible meth lab Sunday morning, police said.

A call from the Ramada Denver West at 4700 Kipling St. just before 9 a.m. alerted police to “at least the remnants of a meth lab” in one of the hotel’s rooms, said Wheat Ridge Police Department spokeswoman Lisa Stigall.

Stigall said that police evacuated some guest rooms for safety reasons and that the West Metro Drug Task Force is investigating.
