Two 18-year-olds are facing felony charges after allegedly giving shots of vodka to a 9-year-old boy who then became ill on New Year’s Eve.

Skyler Dematteo and Tyrale Haselrig-Graham are charged with child abuse causing serious bodily injury and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, as well as providing alcohol to a minor.

Prosecutors said Dematteo and Haselrig-Graham were at the boy’s home while his mother was away.

When the mother returned home, she called for help and the boy was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Dematteo, who was charged earlier, is free on $10,000 bond, and Haselrig-Graham, who was charged and arrested Tuesday, remains in custody in the Denver Detention Center on $5,000 bail. The Denver Post
