AUBURN HILLS, Mich.—Denver Nuggets center Nene did not play against the Detroit Pistons because of a strained right calf.
Nene was inactive Wednesday night after he was injured during a 21-point, nine-rebound performance the previous night against the Washington Wizards.
The Brazilian started each of the 40 games he’s played this season, averaging 15.2 points and 7.5 rebounds. Shelden Williams replaced Nene in Denver’s starting lineup.
