DENVER—Two of four suspects in a hit-and-run crash that killed a parking valet outside a nightclub were charged Friday with vehicular homicide and other crimes.

Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey said Norma Paola Vera-Nolasco, 31, was charged with two counts of vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of an accident in the death of Jose Medina, 21.

One of the vehicular homicide charges alleges that she was driving drunk when Medina was run over Jan. 22 as he was helping someone out of a parked car in front of the Denver club where he worked.

Vera-Nolasco was arrested Wednesday night at the Phoenix airport after her plane was called back to the gate. Authorities said she waived extradition and was expected to be returned to Denver within two weeks.

Also charged Friday was Eliu Montes-Garcia, 18. He faces counts of vehicular homicide, leaving the scene of an accident and two counts of being an accessory to a crime. He was being held on $150,000 bond.

Morrissey said Yolanda Bastida-Nolasco, 43, and Guadalupe Bastida, 48, will be charged Monday with being accessories to the crime. They were held Friday on bond.

Authorities said all four were in the country illegally. Two of those arrested had previous run-ins with the law and their names were forwarded to federal immigration authorities, according to the Denver Post.
