A man died of gunshot wounds early Saturday at an Aurora hospital following a shooting in the parking lot of a sports bar.
The name of the victim was not released pending notification of family members, said Detective Bob Friel, Aurora police spokesman. Doctors pronounced the man dead at 3 a.m.
Shortly before 11 p.m. Friday, police were called to Sports Station Bar & Grill at 850 N. Dayton St. on a report of an aggravated assault with a gun, Friel said.
Major Crimes Unit detectives and crime scene experts went to the hospital and the bar to investigate.
